Our help on the spot
During the years of bloody conflict in eastern Ukraine, AVC and its partners launched a relief marathon that included medical care, soup kitchens, care for traumatised children, transport of relief supplies and reconstruction. A new war has begun and a new aid marathon is upon us.
We coordinate our relief projects with our AVC partners from AVC Switzerland, AVC Austria, AVC Italy, Nehemia Czech Republic and with other relief organisations.

Relief supplies
Since the beginning of the crisis, we have been collecting, sorting, packing and loading relief goods at our AVC headquarters in Nidda. We then transport them to our central warehouses in Warsaw and Ukraine. In total, more than 360 tonnes have already been sent to the crisis region.
Ukraine
Our partner, Pastor Pyotr from Sloviansk, evacuates people, accommodates them within Ukraine and provides for them. Among others, children from an orphanage in Kiev were brought to safety. We support his work financially. From our central warehouse in Luboml, about 30 kilometres from the border with Poland, relief supplies are driven into the interior of the country.
Germany
In addition to collecting relief goods, the AVC headquarters in Nidda serves as the first point of contact for refugees. They are cared for and referred to other shelters.
Poland
The areas flooded by refugees have a great need for humanitarian aid. From our central warehouse in Poland, relief supplies are brought to the Polish-Ukrainian border to care for the refugees who have arrived there.
In Medyka, a town close to the border with Ukraine, we temporarily transport refugees by bus to Warsaw. There, Pastor Alexander and his congregation take care of them. We help financially and with the onward journey to Germany.
Recently, our partners have been bringing people from Ukraine directly to a partner congregation near Krakow. As soon as enough people have arrived, we drive them by coach to our headquarters in Nidda or partner congregations within Germany, where they are taken in and cared for.
Romania
Our partners in Ukraine evacuated an orphanage with 45 children. They were brought to our partners in Romania. The Christian community now takes care of the orphans and the city provides teaching material so that the children can be taught locally.

Please send the relief supplies to: AVC, Ranstädter Str. 20, 63667 Nidda.
In addition, donations make it possible to purchase needed goods in larger quantities here or locally directly and to pay the transport costs. These are very high due to the rapidly rising fuel prices.
