Prepared Paths
As part of their internship, students from the Krasnoyarsk Bible School are currently supporting a church-planting project in Minusinsk. Already in the first weeks, one thing has become clear: people there are remarkably open to the gospel. That's no coincidence — long before the students arrived, the city had been covered in prayer.
With creative ideas, the teams quickly find their way into conversation: in public squares, passersby are invited to write down prayer requests or finish the sentence »Love is …«. These simple prompts often lead to deep conversations about faith and relationships.
One of the most unexpected encounters, though, came about entirely by accident. The team leader wanted to buy a used refrigerator and drove out with two of the Bible students to see the seller. The fridge turned out not to fit, and the sale fell through. But before the three of them left, he said, "I'm not going to buy the refrigerator. But I'd love to talk with you about God." The seller was surprised at first, but listened closely.
The Bible students don't yet know what impact that conversation will have. But they're convinced of this: every encounter with a person is valuable — more valuable than a new refrigerator.
